OCPP PRIVACY POLICY

This policy describes personal data processing related to OCPP.EU web site and OCPP exam, which are created and administered by the Ostendo Consulting Group (OCG), more precisely its members:

Personal data protection is one of our top priorities.

We only collect personal data which individuals themselves provide to us and which are necessary for providing our services. Any processing of such personal data is carried out for the specified purposes and in accordance with all relevant legislation. Under data protection laws individuals have certain rights which are described in more detail below.

WHAT DATA IS COLLECTED, HOW AND WHY?

Personal data collected at the OCPP.EU web site is only used for communicating OCPP related information to the candidates.

OCPP exam is created and administered by the OCG.

Exemination platform is hosted in India and provided by leading exemination provider MERCER-Mettl. When registering for the OCPP exam, candidates are redirected to https://ostendoconsulting.mettl.com where they directly provide their personal information to the Mettl who is independent examination service provider, and Data Controller. MERCER-Mettl is trademarko of Induslynk Training Services Private Limited, India.

Through the MERCER-Mettl platform, candidates’ data can be accessed by:

  • the candidate, by logging in to a candidate user account
  • the OCG staff authorised for the OCPP exam administration

OCG collects personal data only when website visitors voluntarily fill-out the contact form on the OCPP website.

The personal data that website visitors voluntarily leave by filling-out the contact form on the OCPP.EU website will be used solely for the purpose of providing information about the OCG’s OCPP related products and services.

PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Each informative message sent to users on the basis of legitimate interest (as described above) makes it possible to simply serve an objection for sending of such messages, and in such case the same objection will be accepted and acted upon unconditionally. If you no longer wish to receive information from us you can simply unsubscribe.

Website visitors’ Internet (IP) addresses are used for statistical purposes only. OCG has no ability to connect such information to data subjects.

RECIPIENTS OF THE PERSONAL DATA

OCG may share personal data between the group members based on our legitimate interest. Besides that, OCG may share your personal data with third parties if there is a statutory obligation or explicit authorization to the law, or if another person is used to carry out specific activities as a processor, or if it is necessary for the purpose of executing the contract with you as the data subject.

TRANSFERS OF THE PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD COUNTRIES 

For communicating with our website visitors, OCG uses the MailChimp Internet Service, which is why the personal data is exported to the US. The protection of personal data between the US and the EU was regulated by an international agreement. Besides that, Mailchimp and Ostendo Consulting Group have signed a Data Processing Agreement.

If you register for the OCPP exam, you provide your personal data directly to MERCER-Mettl which is based in India. While registering for the exam, you are required to provide appropriate consent. OCG does not transfer personal data to MERCER-Mettl.

RETENTION PERIODS FOR THE PERSONAL DATA

OCG will process and store your personal data only for the time which is necessary to achieve abovementioned purposes.

Beside that we will keep your personal data as required or permitted with applicable laws (for example, Invoices are kept for 11 years compliant to the Croatian Accounting Act).

THE RIGHTS AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS IN RESPECT OF THE PROCESSING

You have the right to request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, right to restrict the processing activities, right to data portability and the right to object to the processing.

Also, when the processing of personal data is based on consent you may in any case withdraw your consent and, in that case, OCG will no longer process your personal data for this purpose.

Lastly, if you think that the processing of personal data carried out by us is not compliant with the relevant data protection regulation you have the right to file your complaint to the competent supervisory authority – in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.

You will not be tracked, nor targeted with our marketing activities if you don’t express interest for our services by willingly providing your contact information. Only cookies you may get at this site are required for site’s functionality and won’t impact your privacy.

Website authenticity can be authenticated by checking the certificate in the Internet browser.

The information exchanged with the web server is secured with a strong encryption.

The providers of services that include access to personal data are selected based on risk assessment. From every third party that has access to such data OCG requires an adequate level of protection of personal data.

CHANGES AND UPDATES OF THE PRIVACY POLICY

OCG reserves the right to change or update this privacy at any time and without prior notice. Any changes made will be effective immediately when published.
